Monofilament Recylcing Bins

Providing a place for anglers to drop of used monofilament so that it stays out of our rivers.

In 2019 Bow River Trout Foundation started building and installing monofilament recylcing bins at popular fishing access sites. No one likes seeing large amounts of fishing line on the banks or in our rivers. It takes hundreds of years for this line to break down in the envrionment. We collect the line, clean it up a bit and then send it to Berkley for recycling.
